The next impactful system will bring strong winds to the region on Monday with snow showers developing later on.
A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for Sunday night through Monday morning due to moderate to potentially heavy snow (especially north of Highway 29).
Sunday night marks the turning point. Rain showers will transition to snow showers after midnight as temperatures plummet to the lower 20s. Wind gusts will increase dramatically to around 50 mph after midnight, creating patchy blowing snow that will reduce visibility significantly.

The First Alert Weather team has issued a Yellow Alert for potentially damaging winds on Monday. This is part of a larger system that will be impacting our area starting Sunday afternoon. Widespread moderate to heavy rain moves in around 3-4pm and lasts through Monday morning.
